Hello! I am the titular writer of this mess! I am known online as AdmiralNelson, IRL I am a 27 yo guy from Italy. Shocker, I know, I am not British. I love midwest emo music and I am a big fan of the scene/emo subcultures, having briefly been part of both (with various degrees of success) Thats kinda all you need to know to really appreciate this "blog"
Good question! I... dont know yet. My idea was to base it on one of the Zines I used to oh so religiously read back in High school. Mind you, At the time I knew a lick of English, and I used to download new issues of some random ones from a now defunct Tumblr blog. I always loved the "free flow" of those publications, and the freedom of arguments they provided, a far cry from my closeted life in a rural part of italy. I want to use this space as a tribute to the old, unsanitized, internet and to all the freedom we lost along the way, regaining it one cringe argument at a time.
As lame as it sounds, I wanted to be with my friends! I spent a good chunk of my early teens on Tumblr, so I always flirted with the idea to have a personal blog, but never actually got to it. Many times i stumbled through Neocities as a project, and I was always stopped by the fact that coding for me was "Too Much of a hassle". All this changed when 5 of my closest friends (Hello! You know who you are!) decided to embark in this project! They made a lot of progress, and so I decided to try this too! I took some courses on Codeacademy, bashed my head on one too many tutorials, and here we are!
These are all my passions! They are either arguments I love to discuss about, or things I currently I am trying to learn more of. Since this is a window into my soul, it wouldnt feel right to restrict myself to only one of the things I love. And since you got to get out of your way to read this, its possible you like some of these too! (or you like me, i guess)
Uhhh, I will try and have a once a week update, but can't really promise anything. It really depends on my technical ability to make this thing work with the vision I have for this site! I will definitely try to setup at least a "news" page, so that its easier to read/listen/watch any new content updated.
